Letters: Why are the gates locked?

Many of my family members are buried in Calvary Cemetery. For several years my family and I travel to Madera during “El Día de los Muertos.” It’s always been a beautiful celebration when we honor the dead. Many of us bring food, music, poetry, games, etc., that our beloved liked when they were alive. We make it a day long activity.
Then, last year — as well as this year — the doors to the cemetery were locked and we were forced to park across the street!
