Why is the right to life less important than the right to bear arms? 25,506 Americans were killed with guns during the first seven months of 2023. Another 22,509 were wounded.

Why do we allow this to happen? Could we at least start reducing gun deaths by eliminating civilian weapons of mass destruction? Recent polls demonstrate that most Americans want stricter gun laws and a ban on assault style rifles. It’s constitutional.

When was the last time an American homeowner defended herself against a home invasion with an assault rifle? Have there been unreported firefights in the mountains of Idaho involving self-proclaimed “patriots” heroically defending against federal agents coming to get their guns? If you need one hundred rounds to shoot Bambi’s mother, should you be trusted to shoot any kind of gun?
