Sierra Citizens recommends a NO vote on Madera County’s proposed Measure T.
Why? Because our decision-makers can’t be trusted.
In 2006, 18 years ago, promises were made about top priority projects. These included an interchange (needed now more than ever) at Avenue 12 and Highway 41, widening Highway 41 the last mile or so into Oakhurst, and repaving Road 415. Elected officials, entrusted to fulfill those promises, chose instead to allow other factors to influence their project selection decisions.
