Took a drive for lunch today (Monday 27th) to Mariposa. Beautiful day, roads not so good.
Minturn Road North bound is still terrible. Merced “Patch Crew” had just been there. Didn’t find all the holes. Instead of patching, why don’t they weave the yellow line so you miss the holes?
Once we got on 147 to Mariposa, roads were GREAT! Went to Castillo’s on 5th street. Go there often… good food and service. On the way back, we came out 49 to Mount Bullion and back to 147. This went through the burn scar of a couple years ago. Growth is returning, but it is Manzanita, you know, that stuff that burns like gasoline. Stand by Cal Fire, here comes another one!
