Letters: The last Independence Day

It is said that all good things must come to an end. If true, then those who attend Trump rallies wearing t-shirts proclaiming a mind-set to vote for a Communist rather than a Democrat might make it so.  Enjoy Independence Day while you can.

A well-funded group of Trump supporting, dictator worshippers has drafted The Presidential Transition Project, also known as Project 2025. They seek to replace American democracy with an authoritarian government loyal only to President Trump, if re-elected. It’s hundreds of pages long. You can read it online. It’s public because the authors are proud of their efforts to take advantage of gullible Trump cult members.
