The Matilda Torres Toros boys basketball team was keeping up with the Justin Garza Guardians. However, the Guardians used runs to jump out to a 69-49 victory at Torres.
The Guardians had runs of seven and eight in the third quarter and then closed the game out with a 13-0 run in the fourth quarter to record the victory Friday night.
The Toros hit 12 3-pointers in the game, but shot just 1-of-10 from 3-point land in the fourth quarter, and were outscored 18-5.
