Head-on crash claims 2 lives

Wreckage of two cars sit on the roadway of State Route 41 after two vehicles collided head-on resulting in the death of a driver and a passenger early Friday morning.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol Madera Area office responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash, on State Route 41 (SR-41) just north of Avenue 11. 

A preliminary investigation early Friday morning found a 30-year-old male from Garden Grove was driving a white 2020 Honda Accord northbound on SR-41, north of Avenue 11. 

A 28-year-old male from Fresno was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry, southbound on SR-41, north of Avenue 11.
