Hawks place second at NWSC

PARLIER — With two wrestlers capturing Northwest Sequoia Conference championships, the Liberty Hawks edged out the Yosemite Badgers to place second at Saturday’s tournament in Parlier. 

Caruthers won the team title with 188 points. However, Liberty earned 129 points, just two points ahead of Yosemite. 

Talan LaMattina and Richard Evans won individual championships to help Liberty place second in the conference.
