Gray named top freshman again

For the fourth week in a row, Madera South baseball standout and current Fresno State Bulldogs’ third baseman Murf Gray was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Week.

Gray became the first Bulldog to win the Conference’s Freshman of the Week honor three times in a row last week. He is only the second Mountain West baseball player to earn a weekly honor four times in a row.

Although is batting average dipped to .260 for the week, Gray hit home runs in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
