The Chowchilla VFW Post 9896 and Chowchilla American Legion Post 148 participate in the 9/11 Assembly at Fuller Elementary School.

Fuller School in Chowchilla held its annual Patriot Day Assembly on September 11 while kindergarten, first and second grade students showed their patriotism and honored the memory of 9/11 during the assembly.

“We are deeply proud of our students and staff at Fuller Elementary for honoring the heroes of September 11th, and the history of our country through their heartfelt tributes on Patriot Day,” Chowchilla Elementary School District Superintendent Doug Collins said. “By reciting poems, sharing powerful words from our nation’s past, and singing patriotic songs, our youngest learners remind us all of the enduring spirit of unity and resilience that defines America. We are grateful to our dedicated staff, led by teacher Tricia Placencia and Principal Amy Cantrell, and to the community members who joined us, including our Board of Education, City Council, first responders, and representatives from our state offices, for making this a memorable event. Together, we stand strong in our commitment to instill the values of pride, service, and respect in the next generation. In CESD, our purpose is, touching hearts, teaching minds and impacting generations one student at a time.”

The assembly began with a welcome by Fuller Principal Cantrell.
