Friends of the Madera County Library, established in 1981, has decorated a tree for Trees for Charity every year since 2014. Funds raised from the auction sale of their tree support the Madera County Library and its programs and services. Some of the Friends gather around the tree for a photo before decorating their 2023 tree.
Madera Sunrise Rotary presents its 39th annual Trees for Charity Dinner-Dance on December 7.
Thirteen trees will be on display at the event, available for sale by auction to the highest bidder. Each tree will be decorated by a nonprofit organization to raise funds for their purpose.
One of the trees on display this year will be sold to help support the programs of the local library.
