While guests cheer in the background, Madera County Farm Bureau Executive Director Christina Beckstead cuts the ribbon with other distinguished guests to officially open the Will Gill Pavilion.

Before a crowd of about 100 people, the Madera County Farm Bureau officially opened the Will Gill Pavilion, which is a building that could be used in a number of ways.

The new building was remodeled from the old sales ring of the cattle auction to a facility to host meetings, seminars and other events to promote agriculture.

“We brainstormed a vision for this property,” said Christina Beckstead, Madera County Farm Bureau Executive Director. “There’s about 10 acres here, including the Farm Bureau office. We envision an ag center where we bring our industry partners into one location. We want this to be a one-stop shop for agriculture. That is still my vision, but it’s up to the Board.”
