DUI driver crashes into apartment

Madera Police Officers responded to the area of Conrad Street and Georgia Avenue regarding a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle into an apartment.

When officers arrived Thursday afternoon, they located the driver, 36-year-old Cristine Irish, who backed her vehicle across the street, and into the kitchen of a nearby apartment.

The driver was found to display obvious signs of intoxication, and a DUI investigation was conducted. No occupants in the apartment or the vehicle were injured as a result of the collision.
