Deputy’s swift response helps save toddler

Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received an emergency medical call reporting an unresponsive two year old Saturday after 5 p.m.
Madera County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Avenue 9 while the father of the child rendered CPR.
Within minutes, Deputy Jessica Martinez arrived at the home, and took over life saving measures. Deputy Martinez applied her department issued AED (automated external defibrillator) to the child, and was able to regain the pulse.
