Coyotes win two to place fifth at Cen-Cal

Madera’s Aaliyah String battles inside to go up for a shot during Friday’s victory over Woodlake. String scored eight points with 12 rebounds in the win. In the four-game tournament, String averaged seven points and 16 rebounds per game to help Madera win the fifth place game.

 

After a last second loss to the Mendota Aztecs in the Cen-Cal Holiday Tournament quarterfinals last week, the Madera Coyotes girls basketball team closed out the tournament with a pair of routs to place fifth.


The Coyotes defeated Woodlake 44-18 on Friday to advance to the fifth place game. There, they defeated the Fowler Redcats, 34-13 to earn fifth place. 


Madera will take most of the week off before hosting Hoover on Friday.
