Coyotes outlast Toros to win title
In a game of ups and downs for both teams, it was the Madera Coyotes that pulled out a 58-47 overtime victory over the Matilda Torres Toros to give the Coyotes their first league championship since 2003.
The overtime win Wednesday over the Toros gave the Coyotes the share of the North Yosemite League championship with Justin Garza.
In a game that ebbed and flowed for both teams, the Coyotes scored 14 points in the overtime period to get the victory.
