Coyotes get home tournament sweep

The Madera Coyotes softball team hosted the first Shaubach Invitational, “Where the Turf meets the Tide,” on Friday, in a diminished form. 

What was originally scheduled for March 1 and March 2, the Coyotes had six teams — three from the Central Valley and three from the coast — scheduled to play. Including Madera, there were Clovis East and Edison from the Valley, and Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles and Mission Prep from the Coast. 

However, that tournament got postponed two weeks because of the storm that weekend. Unfortunately only one other team remained for the rescheduled tournament — Arroyo Grande.
