Madera’s Blake Burton celebrates his third touchdown in Friday’s victory over Matilda Torres. He rushed for 111 yards to lead all ball carriers.

After two straight years of closely contested contests, the Madera Coyotes left no doubt in a 52-7 victory over the Matilda Torres Toros in the first game in the Toros’ new stadium.

The Toros won the first meeting of the two teams two years ago, 28-25, but the Coyotes won 28-27 last year. This time, the Coyotes scored early and often, including scoring three touchdowns in a six-play span for Friday’s win.

Blake Burton rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Izaak Lopez caught two passes for touchdowns and closed the game with a rushing touchdown. Kenji Tiscareno returned a kick-off for another touchdown.
