Coyotes fall just short in loss

Madera’s Aaliyah String goes up for two of her team-high 18 points in Tuesday’s loss to Pacheco.
The Madera Coyotes girls basketball team used its length and aggressiveness to continually frustrate the Pacheco Panthers in a close non-conference loss in Joe Flores Gym.
The Coyotes took 27 free throws and pulled down 46 rebounds in Tuesday’s 49-46 loss in Joe Flores Gym. Unfortunately, the Coyotes shot just 56 percent from the line and turned the ball over 31 times. Of the 31 turnovers, 18 came by steals.
The Coyotes had two players record a double-double. Aaliyah String led the Coyotes with 18 points to go with 14 rebounds before she left the game in the middle of the fourth quarter with a concussion.
