Coyotes dominate on Homecoming

Madera receiver Emanuel Soliz (14) celebrates with Kenji Tiscareno (7) after Tiscareno’s second quarter touchdown during Friday’s victory over Edison.

The Madera Coyotes football team entertained the Homecoming crowd with a dominating 59-19 victory over the Edison Tigers in Memorial Stadium.

The Coyotes controlled the Tigers for most of the game. All three of Edison’s scores came from more than 30 yards away, but it wasn’t nearly enough for the explosive Madera offense and defense.

The Madera defense allowed only 134 yards of total offense. Of those 134 yards, 103 were scored Edison’s two offensive touchdowns. Edison gained just 33 yards on the other 41 offensive plays.
