Coyotes defeat resilient Toros

In a game of back-and-forth, the Madera Coyotes boys volleyball team came away with a four-set victory over the Matilda Torres Toros on Tuesday.
Although the Coyotes picked up a 3-1 victory, the match was close throughout the night. Torres forced the Coyotes to extra points to win the first set, 30-28. Overall, Madera outscored Torres 103-94 in the four sets.
Madera had three players with double-digit kills, and another with nine. Samuel McDonald led all hitters with 16 kills. Damian Bispham added 13 while Jaylen Martinez recorded 11. Paul Childers recorded nine with Marco Gomez adding six.
