Nombrano tosses 2nd perfect game


After a week of turmoil off the field, the Madera Coyotes softball team came together for a 13-0, mercy rule victory over the Mission Oak-Tulare Hawks.


Madera pitcher Viviana Nombrano tossed her second career perfect game on her birthday. She tossed her first perfect game in May of last year in a five-inning 11-0 victory over Justin Garza. She tossed another five-inning perfect game with 11 strikeouts, this time over the Hawks. 


The Coyotes bounced back after the Coyotes had a trip to the coast cancelled for the first time in the program’s history.
