The Madera Coyotes Competition Cheer Team celebrates on the mat its County/Metro Athletic Conference championship after defeating Matilda Torres on Friday. Next up are the Section Championships.
Introducing the first-ever “Battle of the Pyramids” Stunt match between Matilda Torres and Madera on Friday in Joe Flores Gym.
The Coyotes earned a perfect score in defeating the Toros 24-5 Friday, which also earned the Coyotes the County/Metro Athletic Conference championship and will next battle in the Central Section Championship in Atascadero.
Stunt the sport is an emerging sport that showcases the art of cheer athletic stunts and tumbling like never before. In this Competitive Sport Cheer event, victory is determined by precise execution and a flawless routine. Supporters witnessed the intense competition as both teams performed side by side, competing for the highest score. The match consists of four quarters, each featuring different sections of the routine: partner stunts, pyramids and tosses, jumps and tumbling.
