Coyote volleyball gets by Reedley

Madera’s Paul Childres gets a kill past the Reedley blocker in Thursday’s four-set victory over the Pirates in Joe Flores Gym. Childers had nine kills to go with three blocks in the match.

 

The Madera Coyotes boys volleyball team suffered a second set loss, but came back to win the next two for a 3-1 victory over the Reedley Pirates on Thursday in Joe Flores Gym. 


The Coyotes turned right around with a tournament in Merced on Friday and Saturday. They ended up second in the tournament, losing to County/Metro Athletic Conference rivals Bullard in the championship match. 


Damian Bispham led the Coyotes with 14 kills while Paul Childers had one of his best matches with nine kills. Jayden Martinez and Samuel McDonald had seven kills each.
