Madera Coyotes softball co-head coaches Judy Shaubach and Melissa Armiento-van Loon had one more chance to coach the senior class that led the Coyotes to the Div. II Central Section championship in the 41st annual City/County All-Star Softball game.

Shaubach and Armiento-van Loon, along with Alan Revilla, received the honor to coach the City squad, that also featured four Coyotes — Nastasha Griffin, Brianah Hamilton, Kaylynn Powell and Jocelyn Mendez — in Wednesday’s game.

“It was fun. The atmosphere in the dugout was exciting. It’s always a great game,” Shaubach said. “To watch this super group of seniors has been super fun. They’ve done a lot this year. They’ve battled through a lot and came together. It was nice to see them enjoy one last game.”
