Correctional Officers make history

Madera County Sheriff’s Correctional Officers Richard Condoian and Julian Garcia recently earned their roles on the MCSO Dive Team, making them the first Jail Division employees to be selected to serve as part of the program.

Since the reunification of the Sheriff’s Office and Jail in 2021, Sheriff Tyson Pogue has made significant strides in integrating the two divisions by facilitating a collaborative environment to enhance community safety and employee engagement.

The MCSO is proud to be one of a select few agencies not only to authorize, but encourage, correctional officers to be involved with various specialty teams.
