Cooling centers activated

Due to the high temperatures, the City of Madera will activate a Cooling Center at the Pan American Community Center, 703 E. Sherwood Way, from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. through Friday.
Refreshments and activities will be provided for participants.
The Madera Police Department’s front lobby at 330 S. “C” Street will also operate as 24-hour cooling center during the above-mentioned dates.
