The City of Madera gets into the holiday spirit during last year’s Christmas Light Parade. This year’s parade will kick off the holiday season on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Madera Evening Lions Club is preparing for Madera’s traditional Christmas Light Parade on Thursday. The parade route will be on Yosemite Avenue between “A” Street and “E” Street, beginning at 6 p.m.
Rob Hyatt, current president of Madera Evening Lions Club is excited about the event, and he said he is looking forward to next year’s parade with the tree lighting also.
“This is going to be a great event,” he said. “We have had great support this year. We had more entries than we had expected. There were only 50 last year, and 64 this year. We had to turn some entries down because we hadn’t prepared for so many.”
