Volunteers for Madera County Christmas Basket program work on their tree to be auctioned at the 2022 Sunrise Rotary’s Trees for Charity. The Christmas Baskets program of Madera County is active once each year, to provide needy families with food, toys, clothing, and other items for Christmas. Christmas Baskets has participated in Trees for Charity since 1987, raising funds through the auction of a beautifully decorated tree.

Every year the holiday season begins in Madera with Sunrise Rotary’s Trees for Charity. For the 39th year, the annual event will again be a boost for local charities who decided to decorate and auction a beautiful tree to the highest bidder at the event, which will be on December 7.

Thirteen trees will be on display this year, available for sale by auction, and each one will benefit a nonprofit organization raising funds for their purpose.

One of the non-profit organizations presenting a tree for auction at the event will be Madera County’s Christmas Baskets. Every year, since 1987, Christmas Baskets has presented a tree for Trees for Charity.
