Betty Robbins, Hazel Toler, and Dale Murphy each show off a picture they painted at Cedar Creek Senior Living. The wall behind them shows paintings created by them and other Cedar Creek residents.
Residents at Cedar Creek Senior Living in Madera are always busy with activities they enjoy, which often include using talents they possess.
A paint class is offered regularly at Cedar Creek, and some of the residents that attend the class are very talented artists.
In February, Ka Prai Mua, Resident Lifestyle Director of Cedar Creek, arranged for The Madera County Arts Council (MCAC) to take some of the paintings to display at the Madera County Library. Tessa Smallwood, Art Education Coordinator at MCAC, and Areej Latif, Gallery Manager and Outreach Coordinator at MCAC, selected paintings from three of the Cedar Creek residents.
