Boys volleyball falls in playoff opener

Wendy Alexander/The Madera Tribune

Madera’s Damian Bispham rises up for block attempt during Tuesday’s playoff loss to McLane. He led the Coyotes with 12 kills and recorded four blocks.

After Tuesday’s playoff loss to McLane ended the Madera Coyotes boys volleyball season, the match was indicative of the Coyotes this season — inconsistent.

The sixth-seeded Coyotes had late leads in the first two sets before losing 25-23 and 28-26 to the much more animated 11th seeded Highlanders.

The Coyotes were never in the third set before a 25-19 loss.
