Madera’s Marisa Rincon flies a ball into left-center just beyond the reach of the shortstop for a single to drive in the go-ahead run in Thursday’s 4-3 victory over Centennial at Zimmerman Field.Â
Not many teams have the type of speed the Madera Coyotes softball team, and two more teams saw that first-hand last week.Â
The Coyotes allowed three runs in top of the sixth, but battled back for two in the bottom of the sixth for a 4-3 victory Thursday over the Centennial-Bakersfield Golden Hawks.Â
The following day, the Coyotes sped their way to a 10-0, five-inning mercy-rule victory over the McLane Highlanders. The Coyotes stole nine bases in the win, and forced seven errors that led to seven unearned runs.
