Avenue 12 crash leads to death

The California Highway Patrol Merced Communication Center received a call of a crash on Avenue 12, east of Road 25 with medical personnel responding early Thursday morning. 

Officers from the CHP Madera Area responded to the scene and investigated the crash at about 4 a.m.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 44-year-old male from Madera was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado, traveling westbound on Avenue 12 just east of Road 25, at approximately 55 miles per hour.
