The Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call reporting a potential attempted kidnapping near the 39000 block of Wyle Ranch Road in North Fork.
The caller stated an unidentified male pulled up in a vehicle next to his 15-year-old son during his walk to the bus stop and told him get into the car at about 7 a.m. on December 20. The juvenile was able to run away on foot and evade the driver while his father witnessed from a distance, and attempted to intervene.
Deputies saturated the area, and quickly identified the truck involved. They responded to the address registered to the vehicle, and located 39-year-old Brian Sam Davis Jr. of North Fork, who was taken into custody without further incident, and booked into the Madera County Jail on various felony charges including attempted kidnapping.
