Another earworm story

I believe that I am very susceptible to earworms. I know I have written before about the songs that creep in and attach themselves to our minds, like a parasite. They are called earworms.


The other day, I was at home before the inauguration ceremonies began on TV. Someone there was playing a piano for some background music, which most people attending may not have even heard. The pianist was very talented, and the music was beautiful


Music can usually set a mood, sometimes a melancholy one, sometimes a good mood, or often a joyous or thoughtful one. Movie and TV producers use music to prepare the viewer for something getting ready to happen, such as a very dramatic scene like a murder.
