Madera standout Alec Gamboa still hasn’t allowed an earned run while pitching for the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, and got more inspiration over the weekend with friends and family who took a trip to Sacramento to watch him pitch against the River Cats.
Gamboa pitched an inning in relief on Saturday for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ affiliate and struck out all three batters he faced. He enjoyed the after-game fireworks with his friends and family.
Since rejoining the Dodgers from the Tulsa Drillers on June 28, Gamboa has allowed two unearned runs over 6 1/3 innings. Gamboa was 7-0 with a 2.25 ERA in 14 games with the Drillers before getting the call-up.
