Fresno fair to offer classic acts

Actress-comedian Rosanne Barr is set to perform at the Big Fresno Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
Big Fresno Fair concert tickets will go on sale to its Big Fair Fan Club on May 7 and to the general public May 14.
The 2019 Table Mountain Casino Concert Series will feature Christian Nodal, Roseanne Barr, Newboys, and Tower of Power plus WAR, according to communications director Danielle Griffin of the Big Fresno Fair.
The concerts, presented by Coors Light and Toyota, will be in Paul Paul Theater, 1121 S Chance Ave., in Fresno.
Singer-songwriter Christian Nodal will perform Sunday, Oct. 6. His singles, a blend of Norteño and mariachi sounds, include “No Te Contaron Mal,” “Probablemente,” “Te Fallé” and “Nada Nuevo”. Most recently, his single “No Te Contaron Mal” peaked at No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Songs Billboard Chart. Nodal concert ticket prices range from $25 to $85.
Actress-comedian Roseanne Barr will take the stage on Tuesday, Oct. 8. Barr debuted in TV comedy on “Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show” and later went on to produce and star in her own self-titled sitcom, “Roseanne” (1988–1997 and 2018). She won an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in the show. She has also appeared on shows such as “The Office,” “Portlandia” and “The Millers.” Stand-up comedy show tickets range from $30 to $45.
Christian band Newsboys will rock the concert lineup Wednesday, Oct. 9. The Grammy-nominated, Platinum-selling band has six No. 1 singles on the Christian charts such as “Step Up to the Microphone,” “You Are My King” and “We Believe”. Most recently, the band returned to the studio to record “Newsboys United,” which will release May 10. Newsboys concert ticket prices range from $22 to $38. Visit www.newsboys.com for details.
Tower of Power and WAR will groove and jam Thursday, Oct. 10. The soulful sounds of Tower of Power include songs like “Downtown to the Nightclub,” “So Very Hard to Go” and “What is Hip?” The psychedelic sounds of WAR include “The Cisco Kid,” “Why Can’t We Be Friends,” “Lowrider” and more. Tower of Power and WAR concert tickets range from $25 to $40.
Fair tickets will be $12 for adults, and $8 for children, seniors 62-plus and military. Season passes will be $38 and Unlimited Carnival Ride Wristbands will be $30. BFF Club members will save $2 on admission and Unlimited Ride Wristbands, and $6 off season passes.
Griffin said she plans to announce more fair concerts in the coming months.
