The racist card is like Kryptonite
My POTUS and FLOTUS are home from their European tour. The president and first lady caught blue blazes for not throwing a bow and a curtsey when they met Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. They shook hands with the 92-year-old monarch. Foreign heads of states are not required to genuflect to the crown since they aren’t her subjects. Had they bowed/curtseyed when they met dear Lillibet, there would have been howls of righteous indignation from the same people saying he had humiliated our country and his office with his pathological need for approval.
Another accusation hurled at Mr. Trump is that he was 15 minutes late to meet the queen and one never keeps the Her Royal Highness waiting. As if Trump flaunted protocol and made the queen wait on purpose. If the photos of the crowds that turned out to see or protest can be believed, I’m guessing they were responsible for the traffic delay. Another report states the President was on time and his lateness was more fake-Trump news.
Social media is also a buzz about Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Putin said his people didn’t hack the Clinton campaign or interfere with the 2016 presidential election. He might even believe that. The crime if committed could have been perpetrated by part of Clinton’s own dirty tricks squad or rogue members of the Russian’s entourage.
If it happened at all, it may have been committed by some unknown cabal creating chaos or trying to curry favor with any number of the USA’s friends and enemies.
The investigation is a huge waste of taxpayers’ money and the FBI’s personnel.
I admit there are times Trump acts like a buffoon and says things that are outrageous. What I am not, is surprised by any of it. I knew The Donald would continue to be the extreme personality he has always been. Anyone who is surprised by his peccadilloes needs to quit drinking the PC Kool-aide and drink a glass of reality ice tea. Leopards don’t change their spots. Why would a gentleman with a Trump-size ego?
As for the continuing outrage, that President Trump and President Putin are friends, there are photos of Obama, Bush, and Clinton posing with Putin with big smiles on their mugs, too! The media needs to quit playing the Trump-bashing game.
Has anyone else noticed that calling a person a racist has almost the same effect as tossing a piece of Kryptonite at Superman? A person is branded with a big ol’ R and their lives go off the rails. We are all members of the human race, period. Can we please work on something more important than pointing fingers at one another?
The reunification of families at the Mexican border has mommies and daddies everywhere rejoicing. Where is the outrage aimed at the parents who hauled their kids over rough terrain to get them to the border of the USA? Those seeking asylum could have applied for it at the consultant in Mexico City or several other places in Mexico.
Did you hear about Alejandro Alvarez-Villegas, the man who took a chainsaw to his wife after having been deported 11 times? According to the Associated Press, she is supposed to make a full recovery.
Federal immigration officials have lodged a detainer against Alvarez-Villegas, asking local officials to notify them before he is released.
Why in the world would he be released, ever?
