Nemat Inc. owner Mike Nemat, center, holding real scissors, celebrates the grand opening of his new business, Lean Solar, with family, friends, staff and local officials and dignitaries Friday morning.
A Madera manufacturer of consumer products, Nemat, unveiled a 150 KW-DC solar system June 13 at their headquarters along with a new company, Lean Solar.
This new venture will expand Nemat’s operations in Madera and double its employment of 35.
Lean Solar will develop, make and install “turnkey” ground-mount solar systems for industrial uses. Owner Mike Nemat said his modular systems sell for 30 percent cheaper than market price and reduce energy costs up to 70 percent. Designed and made in the U.S., each system has a 20-year warranty and can be designed, made, installed and interconnected with utility companies in 45-60 days.
Nemat is considering offering financing programs with a 5-6 year purchase option, he said. The down payment can be covered by a 30 percent tax credit offered by the federal government.
Nemat and Lean Solar can be visited at www.nemat.com or 19225 Road 24 in Madera.
