City of Madera fireworks show nears
John Rieping/The Madera Tribune Families take part in carnival games during last year’s evening festivities at Madera Municipal Golf Course before the city’s annual fireworks show. This year’s show will be at dusk July 4 with activities beforehand starting at 5 p.m.
In nine days, Maderans will be able to celebrate Independence Day together thanks to the city’s annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular and Golf Tournament.
The free fireworks show will begin over Madera Municipal Golf Course, 23200 Ave. 17, at dusk around 9 p.m. The golf tourney will begin there at 8 a.m. that morning and family festivities will start at 5 p.m.
Parking will be free but limited, according to the city’s Parks and Community Services Department. Roads leading to the golf course will close at least 20 minutes before nightfall or when area parking becomes full – whichever occurs first.
Pets, outside vendors, and outside food and drink will not be allowed.
