MSHS Fashion Show dazzles crowd

The stage in the auditorium at Madera South High School sparkled like a Las Vegas nightclub as the MSHS Fashion Club put on its first annual Fashion Show.

Nineteen student models strutted down the runway May 11 showing off a dazzling array of garments donated by more than a dozen local businesses.

Punctuating the modeling exhibition were the performances of an assortment of crowd-pleasing entertainers: Gymnasts, dancers, and musicians.

Fashion Club president Jessica Cisneros joined teacher/master of ceremonies Benjamin Madrigal in introducing the program, which was coordinated by Gloria Vander Laan and Madrigal.

Danny Fimbrez and Jaime Monzon provided the music and sound, while Johnathan Stoermer, Seth Garcia, and German Vargas handled the lighting.

The runway models were Andrew Garcia, Angeelique Cisneros, Arcadio Reyes, Broly Hernandez, Emily De La Cruz, Fortino Morales, Gona Yang, Ines Ramirez, Jackie Figueroa, Jazmin Moreno, Jennifer Casarrubias, Jennifer Hernandez, Jessica Cisneros, Josuel Vasquez, Litzy Heredia, Michelle Godoy, Monserrat Bello, Rachel Williams, and Syra Montesinos.

Fashion Club business partners who supplied clothing for the evening and entertainment were Angels Bridal, Chubby Media, Clothes and Things, Danzantes De Tlaloc, Gimmick Apparel, In the Mix Events, Jessica Cisneros Designs, La Vogue Accessories, Medina Party Rentals, Ortiz Western Wear, PAC Dance Studios, Recycle Life, Rue 21, Stallion Cafe, TEC, and Tress Salon & Spa.

Fortino Morales entertained the appreciative crowd of 250 persons with his classical guitar.

In addition to President Jessica Cisneros, the MSHS Fashion Club officers are Marisol Villanueva, vice president; Stephanie Hernandez, treasurer; Monserrat Bello, club historian; and Valery Hernandez, club representative.
