The energy created by the words ‘I am’
“And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, thus shall thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.” — Exodus 3:14 While living in Ohio I wanted to do more than work on construction jobs, so I studied and got my real estate license to work part time with my construction job.
It was a great experience for me because I met so many new people different from the people. The sales manager for the real estate company was about my age and had a lot of training in selling products along with real estate. Through him I was introduced to the Napoleon Hill positive thinking way of using the mind to create what one may want life to be.
It made a lot of difference in the way I looked at situations, and how to get answers or end results I wanted. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn because my mind was focused on what I wanted my life to be.
I used the same way of thinking when trying to solve problems on some of the equipment when it needed repair or to determine how it could perform better.
The sales manager for the real estate company would hold a sales meeting each Saturday and would teach us about the best way to dress, how to respond to different situations where there may be some disagreement, how to meet clients for the first time and a lot of positive information on life in general.
There was one thing he said that has helped me throughout my whole life and that was, “If you want to soar high with the eagles, you don’t hang out with a bunch of turkeys.” He taught all of us in the Saturday morning classes that if you are going to be successful you had to look and act successful.
I accept all people into my experience and can get along with anyone, but I don’t have to accept their way of life if it isn’t within the principles of the way I live my life.
I recognize the I AM within all beings and honor that part of them because all beings are an expression of God in action.
When people say of themselves, “I am tired, I am disappointed, I am ugly, I am not smart enough,” and a whole list of similar comments, it can lead to depression or addictions.
When one can turn those comments around to something positive and uplifting then one can feel like soaring high with the eagles and life is a joy to welcome each day. The Creative Intelligence of the Universe (God) is the I AM part of each being and the words one puts after I AM is what will manifest in one’s life. When one feels good about oneself and thinks positively about what they want, then the I AM within will guide the thoughts and action to make the invisible visible or a reality one can enjoy. It isn’t that difficult to change the negative thoughts to positive thoughts and feel good about oneself. The I AM within can express a life that stays in balance with the Universe.
