Madera County Library launches summer reading program
Summertime can be a time for family fun — with reading. “Read for the Win’ is the theme of the Madera County Library’s free summer reading program, which began Monday and will continue through July’s end.
For pre-schoolers and young readers, there will be story times and puppet shows. Teens and young adults can set their sights on the Chocolate Olympics competition and Tuesday Board Gaming, with tango lessons for adults too. The whole family can enjoy Family Olympics, and a visit from a big cat from Cat Haven.
Registration began this week for the summer reading program, events and activities.
The Madera County Library offers the free summer reading program to encourage student readers to maintain, and even enhance, their reading skills during summer vacation time...
