Madera Unified School District’s Classified Professional Development Committee (CPDC) was honored with the prestigious 2024 California School Boards Association (CSBA) Golden Bell Award on December 7, in Anaheim. The award celebrates the district’s exceptional Classified Conference, which fosters professional growth for classified staff and supports student success.
Empowering Staff, Supporting Students
Established in 2019, the CPDC provides unique personal and professional development opportunities for Madera Unified’s classified employees, a vital group serving over 20,000 students and 3,000 staff members. The annual conference features workshops, inspiring keynote speakers, networking opportunities, and partnerships with local businesses, creating a dynamic environment for learning and collaboration.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the committee demonstrated adaptability by transitioning the conference to a virtual format, ensuring uninterrupted support for staff development during challenging times.
