Madera South High School opens ‘Once on this Island’

The Madera South Theatre Company’s latest production, “Once on this Island,” opened Thursday, March 15 at 7 p.m. in the Madera South High School Theatre.

The musical combines elements of Romeo and Juliet and the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Little Mermaid. It concerns a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring together people of different social classes.

The production will run from March 15-18 and March 21-24.at 7 p.m. A 2 p.m. matinee will play on March 24.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students. Reserve tickets may be purchased on facebook.com/MSTCTheatre or at the Box Office.
