Madera city crews put the finishing touches on road work after repairing a water main leak on Adell and D streets last week.

In the early hours of the morning of April 29, local emergency response teams were called into action following reports of a water main leak in the downtown area on 16000 block of D Street between Asti Way and Adell Street.

Al Vega, Public Works Lead Maintenance Worker, received the initial call at 5 a.m., and staff were on site to investigate the leak by 5:30.

After local agencies arrived on-site to mark underground utilities, city staff began repair work at approximately 1 p.m., once the necessary road closures were in place.
