However, the Cougars won the second set 25-16 and closed the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set.<\/p><p>Christian Sylvia led three Stallions in double digit kills with 20. Jared Guglielmana and Ruben Jaimez each put down 11 kills in three-plus sets.<\/p><p>The Cougars jumped out to a 12-8 led, but the Stallions got a kill from Jaimez and Adrian Alvarez served up a point.<\/p><p>Then, the two teams exchanged eight straight side outs with Sylvia putting down two side out kills. Jaimez and Riley Maciel also had side out kills.<\/p><p>Jaimez put down another kill to cut the Cougars\u2019 lead to one. The Cougars eventually opens a four-point lead, but a missed serve led to a Guglielmana kill to get the lead to two.<\/p><p>After a Cougars side out, Guglielmana put down a sideout kill. Sylvia put down two kills, Clovis hit out of bounds and were in the net to give the Stallions a 23-21 lead.<\/p><p>Clovis got the side out and added a point to tie the score at 23. Jaimez put down a kill for the side out and set point, but Clovis put down a kill to get the side out. A tip kill and an attack from the back row gave the Cougars a 26-24 win.<\/p><p>Clovis jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the second set and led 9-3 after a solo block. The two teams exchanged 12 straight side outs. Sylvia put down two kills in the run while Guglielmana and Josue Herrera added side out kills.<\/p><p>After the Cougars added a point, four more side outs went by for a seven-point lead. Clovis eventually took a 23-12 lead before the Stallions started to battle back. Sylvia put down two side out kills. With Clovis on set point, Jaimez and Sylvia put down kills. However, a missed serve gave the Cougars their set point for a 25-16 win.<\/p><p>Jaimez served up a pair of aces to open the fourth set. After side out kills from Alvarez and Herrera, the Stallions took an 8-4 lead. Alvarez served up an ace and Guglielmana put down a kill.<\/p><p>Side out kills from Guglielmana and Sylvia gave the Stallions an 11-6 lead.<\/p><p>The Stallions scored the next six straight points. Sylvia put down a kill off a Sebastian Moreno assist. Then, Sylvia put down a kill on his second chance after the first kill attempt was dug up. Sylvia put down a kill off the Clovis block. The Cougars hit out of bounds and were called for four contacts before another Sylvia kill led to a 17-6 lead.<\/p><p>Clovis scored two straight points before a Sylvia side out kill. A Clovis lift call gave the Stallions a 10-point lead. After a Cougars side out, Maciel put down a side out kill.<\/p><p>Off a No. 14 dig, Guglielmana hit the ball behind his head for a tip kill and a 21-10 lead.<\/p><p>Clovis scored three straight points before a service error. After a trade in side outs, Alvarez recorded a tip kill with a behind-the-head back tap. Clvosi was hit with a net violation to give the Stallions set point.<\/p><p>Clovis got the side out, but Guglielman put down a kill for the 25-15 victory.<\/p><p>Madera South jumped out to a 7-5 lead behind kills from Sylvia and Jaimez. Clovis battled back to take a 12-9 lead.<\/p><p>A Gugleilmana kill cut the lead to one. After a Guglielmana side out kill, Jaimez put down a kill off a dig to tie the set at 13.<\/p><p>Side out kills from Alvarez and Gugleilmana and another from Jaimez tied the score at 17. The Cougars added two more points before a Cougars\u2019 service error.<\/p><p>Sylvia added a kill and combined with Maciel on a dual block to give the Stallions a 20-19 lead. Clovis scored two straight points before Sylvia put down a side out kill to tie the score at 21.<\/p><p>Clovis scored two more points for a 23-21 lead before Maciel put down a kill. Madera South missed its next serve to give the Cougars match point.
