Madera Coyotes quarterback Colt Nelson was responsible for all five touchdowns in a 31-21 victory over Mission Oak-Tulare.<\/p>\n
Nelson scored the first touchdown Friday in Tulare on a one-yard run and threw for four more. He led the Coyotes to a 25-0 first half lead before Mission Oak scored three times in the third quarter to cut the lead to 10.<\/p>\n
The Coyotes held off Mission Oak for their second win of the season.<\/p>\n
After Nelson\u2019s run, he hit Joziah Velasquez for two touchdowns of 13 and four yards. Both extra points were blocked for an 19-0 lead.<\/p>\n
Nelson found J.J. Espinoza from 19-yards out to open the lead to 25-0 at the half.<\/p>\n
Nelson hit Espinoza in the third quarter for Madera\u2019s final score of the game.<\/p>\n
Angel Guizar led the Coyotes with 83 yards rushing.<\/p>\n
Nelson was 21-of-34 for 213 yards. Jevon Denis, Espinoza and Velasquez each caught five passes with Denis leading the way with 67 receiving yards.<\/p>\n
