First of all, my thanks go to Mr. Gaunt for his attempt to make light of comments from my previous letter. However, I often express my opinions, which are not based on fact; I have never said they were factual.<\/p>\n

Someone\u2019s opinion can never be wrong, or offbeat, or not true as stated. They are simply the way someone feels and they have to be respected. The lack of respect for someone\u2019s opinion has turned into a specialty of members of the left.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I strongly feel that people are entitled to speak their minds based on our 1st amendment rights. But I have had many attempts to silence me, including by two people I used to consider friends that can not handle the fact that my opinions differ from theirs, and have chosen to end friendships of more than 40 years \u2014 something I would never do.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The writer goes on to tell what the Democrat party stands for, but in true fashion, does not tell what the party is going to do to make our country better. He tries to give a history lesson over my use of the word Democrat instead of Democratic. The reason I do that is because of the recent actions by the party that disqualify them from me considering them to be Democratic.<\/p>\n

They violated the principles of a Democratic society by installing Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for President with zero input from the people. They have also blocked the efforts of having fair elections, which is another principle, by refusing to require ID for voting, pushing the use of mass mail ballots to who knows who and their insistence that proof of citizenship not be required to register to vote.<\/p>\n

Another virtue of being a Democratic society is ensuring every voice be heard. It\u2019s been proven that the Biden administration used pressure tactics to force social media sources to suppress conservative voices. They also used pressure to silence the Biden laptop story, and they used their influence to push the Russian collusion hoax. Doesn\u2019t sound like to me that the party supports Democratic principles. There\u2019s a little history lesson for you.<\/p>\n

I learned long ago, in business a term that rings true \u2014 \u201cpast performance will predict future performance.\u201d It simply means that ones actions of the past will most likely be repeated in the future, if given the chance. The writer seems to attempt to dispel what I claim the Dems will do if they get back in power.<\/p>\n

They opened the border before so what makes you think they won\u2019t do it again? They have said that they will do the other things I mentioned \u2014 even taking it further. And they have said many times that they will make every effort to impeach Trump. Many of the things they did in the past that have had a disastrous effect on the country, they will do again.<\/p>\n

Again, my opinion \u2014 take it or leave it \u2014 but please, respect it.<\/p>\n
