The first hours of the closure were focused on the care of existing emergency department patients.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>The focus then turned to the air handler. The installation was accomplished while maintaining an active electronic control panel. The change out was expected to take two hours, followed by 12 hours of electrical, plumbing and control balancing.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>The hospital\u2019s Rapid Care walk-in clinic was open on Thursday to care for patients with non-emergent health concerns.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Madera Community Hospital\u2019s emergency department air handler was replaced, and resulted in the temporary closure of the department.
